Product Development History

The Grandmaster Tiger PCD product range was developed as a result of a customer request for a harder wearing, more aggressive diamond abrasive that could more effectively remove heavy floor coatings. A belated scientific discovery being that because poly crystalline diamond is more that 6 times harder that tungsten carbide [as contained in scarifying cutting wheels] this product actually makes small to medium sized scarifying machines obsolete, as it provides the Grandmaster floor grinder [and all other floor grinders] with superior concrete removal rates.  PCD Cup Wheel - Technical Information

When it comes to floor epoxy, paint and concrete high spot removal, PCD cup wheels are without peer in performing this task, and their effectiveness is directly related to the length of the super hard and sharp PCD bits contained on the cup wheel.  For example, when removing thin paint coatings etc, it is desirable to use a PCD cup wheel with very small or low riding PCD bits on the base plate to prevent abrasion damage to the concrete floor surface. Conversely when removing concrete high spots the most desirable attributes to have on a PCD cup wheel are lots of diamond abrasives and big high riding PCD Bits, contained on a durable hard wearing design . .
